Our Conference Center re-opened July 13th, 2020.  

 

Due to COVID-19, occupancy levels for the conference rooms will be limited and not at the levels listed in the information package.

Conference Rooms Operational Guideline for COVID – Phase 3

Birthday Party Rental Form 2020 – Birthday parties are currently not available at the Garcelon Civic Center during Phase 3.

***Please note, all users will be asked to submit an operational plan for their event as per GNB regulations***

 

In response to October 8th’s announcement by Premier Higgs, masks are now mandatory upon entering the Garcelon Civic Center, and in all public areas and washrooms.

 

Masks may be removed in the following areas:

 
Aquatics: on the pool deck. Mandatory elsewhere, including changing rooms
 
Gym: may be removed once inside the gym area only. Mandatory travelling to and from the facility.
 
Arena: mandatory for all spectators at all times. Players may remove their masks only when ready to put on their helmets and must put their mask back on as soon as their helmet is removed.
 
Walking track: mandatory to and from the track, not mandatory when exercising on the track.
 
Conference rooms: mandatory at all times.
 
Thank you for your cooperation and as with everything Covid related, we will continue to monitor the situation and follow Province of New Brunswick regulations.

 

Examples of Covid-19 setup options:

Halstead Room – up to 15 people classroom style (round tables), 1 per table

LK Toombs Room/QM Construction Room – up to 20 people classroom style (rectangular tables), 1 per table

Pool Viewing Room – up to 15 people theatre style

The Culture, Community and Conference Center is the place for meetings, conferences, celebrations and much more.  Please note, Covid-19 restrictions currently limit the type of events that can be held in the conference center.

The Moosehead Boardroom is located behind the main reception area on level 1 and is suitable for meetings of up to 10 people. This room has a wall of windows and is equipped with Smart board technology.

The Daryl Spires and Chris (McSorley) Spires Pool Viewing Room overlooks both pools. It is located on level 3 and can accommodate up to 15 people.  Limited rental options available – please call for details.

The St. Stephen-Milltown Rotary Club Reception Area is the principal lobby space located on level 3. Rentals for this area can be done in conjunction with renting one or more of the third floor conference rooms.  Conditions apply – please call for more information.

The LK Toombs Conference Room is the first of three conference rooms located on level 3 and the only one with access to the front balcony. This room can be rented as a single room for meetings up to 8 people, or in combination with one or both of the other two conference rooms beside it for larger events. When combined with LK Toombs, meetings in a classroom style setting for up to 20 people are available.

 

The QM Construction Conference Room is the second conference room on level 3 and has the option for a drop down screen and built in projector. This room can be rented as a single room for meetings up to 10 people or combined with one or both of the conference rooms on either side of it for larger events.  When combined with LK Toombs, meetings in a classroom style setting for up to 20 people are available.

The Halstead Conference Room is the third conference room located on level 3 and has the option for a drop down screen and built in projector. This room can be rented as a single room for meetings up to 15 people, or in combination with one or both of the other two conference rooms to accommodate a larger amount of people.
